Shuttle Generosity

This past Friday was the Sarnia Relay For Life. This is one major event, literally hundreds of individuals from all backgrounds come out to support and take part in this event. The weather prediction this year however had other plans, there were predictions starting with rain, going through severe thunderstorms, and even hail...and a decision had to be made. The decision was made to quickly find an indoor location, and the Sarnia arena was booked. This of course brought on it's own issues, space - there would be no "tent city", instead, the groups were assigned sections of bleachers, space in general would be extremely limited, air circulation would be an issue with this large number of people...each issue was dealt with, and dealt with well, to those working behind the scenes - You did a fantastic job! Outside the arena was another issue - parking. Very limited, and participants were carrying lots and lots of items. That's were Hull Bus Line's immediately offered buses, fuel - everything covered, and when informed of the situation, the drivers volunteered their time as well to shuttle the participants and volunteers from the surrounding offered parking areas, including schools, and even a funeral home. I'm sure we'll never know of all of the things that went on behind the scenes, but I just wanted to make not of this generous offer.
